These are alright for a holiday display. I'm currently using them for Halloween and they're nice enough that I'll use them again for Christmas. These aren't of spectacular quality, but I don't plan on using them for anything too elegant. The covers gave me some hassle, but I managed not to break anything. These do not come with batteries. Overall, I like them!They do exactly what they are supposed to. Look very nice lit up. Only complaint is that each candle takes 2 batteries. So just to get it up and running it’s gonna require you to have 10 AA batteries. That is why they get 4 outta 5. Really should be rechargeable or have the ability to be plugged in.I got these to put around my animated Madam Leota as part of my bigger Haunted Mansion decorations outside my house. You do need quite a lot of double A batteries for these and they are able to be turned on and whatnot with the included remote.Don’t really look like a candle when lit up and the battery door is really really hard to get open had to use a coin to open it. And felt like when closing the door it would break off. They work and are decent.Was very happy to see that these candles also came with a pair of remotes in case you lose one of them. Each candle takes 2 AA batteries to operate. There are five candles with a variety of heights. And an on/off switch on the bottom. Using the remotes, you can also set a 4 / 6 hour timer for your candles to turn on every 24 hours until they run out of battery power.Very happy with this purchase! Just lovely!You can choose to either have the light flicker or not. You can also dim the lights. There's an option for a 2, 4, 6 and 8 hour timer. There's also a cool waxy like texture without it being wax. It's cool.Beautiful Candles
